This was a PCB for our octobus Project, one of the first embedded Linux System back in 2003, now we use it for expanding the Beagle Bone wireless board up to 12 Inputs and 12 Outputs.
The octoIO Expander is ideal for I2C Applications.
Here a picture of the development setup we used to implement some libraries to connect to the MAX7300 Chip.
MAX7300 from Maxim Integrated is a really usefull device to expand your device with IOs using I2C.
